Why you should consider studies in Poland?

Are you still wondering if studying in Poland is a good choice?

As we have noticed in many forums, many of you are thinking about studying in Poland. Is this a good choice? In this thread, we will try to solve it. In the beginning, I would like to say a little bit about the higher system of education in Poland.

  • The first stage is undergraduate studies, which last 3 years and we obtain a bachelor’s degree after them.
  • Master’s studies – they last 2 years and you earn a master’s degree after them.
  • Doctorate- educate young scientists, researchers seeking answers to important scientific and practical problems – their duration is a minimum of two to four years.

There are about 500 universities in Poland. They can boast of a wide range of fields of study where classes are conducted in English. From technical, through humanities, to the medical field of studies. Polish universities are well perceived in the world because of the high and effective level of education, so if you want to take care of your future and you care about a high level of education, this will be your number one reason to study in Poland.

Job opportunities during studies in Poland

Another amazing advantage of studying or being on a student exchange in Poland is the fact that the country is developing very quickly. You will not have a problem finding a job in Poland. World-famous corporations are moving their headquarters here. A good example of this can be the city of Lodz – located in central Poland. You’ll find here the headquarters of world-famous corporations such as Fujitsu and Phillips. They employ students who speak English. If you know any additional language that is desired there, you can earn even more money. You can gain experience here and then work in their facilities in other places around the world.

Relatively cheap life

Despite rising prices, living in Poland is still not as expensive as in other European Union countries. Sample prices can be found below.

  • Meal, Inexpensive daily Restaurant serving dinners – 21 PLN
  • Cappuccino (regular) 8,40 PLN
  • Meal for 2 People, Mid-range Restaurant, Three-course 100PLN
  • Monthly public transportation pass – 100 PLN
  • Cheap taxi from 1.80 PLN/km

The currency used in Poland is the Polish zloty. 1PLN- 0,23€  – We highly recommend avoiding currency exchange in airports, shopping malls due to the unfavourable exchange rate. We will write more about this in the next article.

Friendly people

Poles are positive about life and people coming from abroad. They are happy to make new contacts. You will also not have a problem with communication – most young people in Poland are fluent in English. During weekends, you should not get bored. They love spending time partying.

Safety in Poland

Poland is in the top twenty safest places on earth. In general, travelling here is safe. Crime against foreigners in Poland happens very rarely. Of course, like everywhere in the world you have to be vigilant but generally, there is nothing to be afraid of.
